Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Retail Scan & Stock ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of service

Retail Scan & Stock is a local-first inventory counting and order management app for small retailers. We offer a free tier and paid subscription tiers with additional features.

3. User accounts

Email or Google sign-in may be required for cloud-related features. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer or misuse the app, interfere with other users, or use the app for anything unlawful. We may suspend access if you break these rules.

5. Subscription and payments

• Paid plans are billed through Google Play (or the App Store, when available).
• Prices and plan details may change with reasonable notice.
• Refunds follow the store's policies (for example, Google Play refund rules).

6. Free tier limits

The free tier may include limits such as: up to 1,000 SKUs, 30 days of history, and 5 open documents. These limits may change with notice.

7. Data ownership

You own your business data. You can export it from the app when export is available.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is". We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we disclaim warranties to the fullest extent allowed by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for claims related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or zero if you only used the free tier).

10. Termination

We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time using in-app Settings, subject to store billing rules for any active subscription.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you through the app for material changes.
