Account deletion

This page describes how to request deletion of a Retail Scan & Stock account and what that means for information we may process when you sign in or use cloud-related features. The product is local-first: core inventory data can exist only on your device unless you use paid cloud features or otherwise sync or back up data as described in our Privacy Policy. Not every installation will have a cloud-backed sign-in.

How to delete your account in the app

Our Privacy Policy states that you can access, export, or delete your data from Settings in the app, where available. Our Terms of Service state that you may delete your account using in-app Settings, subject to app store billing rules for any active subscription.

If the exact controls differ by platform or app version, use the account or settings area in the app where account deletion is offered.

What account-related data is deleted

When you delete your account using the in-app option described in our Privacy Policy, cloud data associated with that account is deleted as set out there. In plain terms, this can include categories such as your sign-in identity, account or registration information we hold in connection with the account, and related cloud records tied to that account where applicable. What you use on-device without a cloud account may not fall into these categories.

App store subscriptions and renewals are handled by Apple or Google; their systems may retain purchase history according to their policies. See our Terms of Service for how termination interacts with billing.

What may remain on your device

Our Privacy Policy explains that local data stays on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Local app data may therefore remain on that device until you remove the app or clear app data using your device’s controls, depending on your platform.

Files you exported, backups you stored outside the app, or messages you sent through other apps are not automatically removed when your cloud account is deleted.

Alternative deletion request

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing privacy@retailscanstock.com from the email address associated with your account (if you have one). Describe your request so we can verify and process it.
